We've been part of
Tower Hamlets for years

A community organisation built by local people, for local people — tackling the issues that matter most to those who live here.

Our story

We started because
nobody else was doing it.

Weavers Community Forum grew out of a simple observation: the people of Tower Hamlets were facing real, pressing challenges — unemployment, isolation, poverty, crime — and the existing services weren't reaching everyone who needed them. So a group of local residents decided to do something about it themselves.

What began as a small, volunteer-run initiative has grown into a full-service youth and community organisation. We now run over 15 programmes, supporting hundreds of people every year across the borough. But we haven't forgotten where we came from — the community still shapes everything we do.

We work with young people aged 8 to 25, adults facing barriers to employment, families under pressure, and older residents living in isolation. Our approach is always the same: listen first, then act.

What drives us

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To strengthen Tower Hamlets — one person at a time

We provide practical, compassionate and community-led support to young people, families and individuals who are facing the barriers of unemployment, isolation, poverty, crime and anti-social behaviour. We believe that with the right support, every person can thrive.

Our Vision

A Tower Hamlets where every resident can reach their potential

We want to see a borough where young people have real opportunities, where isolation is tackled before it takes hold, where families are supported through hardship, and where communities are strong, connected and safe. That's the Tower Hamlets we're working towards.
